Faith-based investing has grown and matured over the past ten years along with the ESG movement. As many advisors are seeking a practice niche over a generalized practice, there are four main questions that they ask when considering this discipline. Does faith-based investing really matter? Does faith-based investing make a difference? Can I practice it with excellence, and can I build a successful practice using faith-based investing? Two long-term practitioners of faith-based investing and a prominent speaker on the practice share their experiences and recommendations, as well as offer practical steps for implementing this growing area of investing in their financial and investment planning process. .
Jason Myhre is the Executive Director of the Eventide Center for Faith & Investing, an educational initiative of Eventide Asset Management to help Christians understand and practice biblically faithful investing. He is also a Founding Member of Eventide Asset Management, an investment firm providing values-based investments rooted in a biblical worldview. Outside his work at Eventide, Jason serves as a Fellow of the Center for Faithful Business at Seattle Pacific University and facilitates the Capital Stewardship Hub of the Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology.
