Helping clients maximize their stewardship of assets includes building a network of like-minded specialists and staying abreast of changes in the tax code and legal landscape that could create opportunities for, or threats to, client legacies. We will discuss challenges facing clients attempting to leave a lasting legacy, as well as how planned giving tools and techniques can take advantage of recent legislative changes to help alleviate those challenges. Most importantly, this session will provide several concepts that can help advisors build credibility and opportunity with professional “old dogs” who may no longer be taking the time to keep up with “new tricks.”
