We look at various presidential and monetary regimes and the inflation rates associated with each. Going deeper in, we look behind the numbers to see how the thinking of various leaders either conformed with or flaunted the basic principles of monetary soundness. We see how principles express themselves in the real world of economic history, and frame the question of the day…why has easy money not yet led to high inflation?
